Easy sometimes to feel as if nice guys finish last, snake-bitten or perhaps naive trying to do the right thing. That said- although it isn't always returned or appreciated, I think doing the courteous thing, the empathetic thing expecting nothing in return has its rewards and makes life a richer more enjoyable experience over the long haul. Stay true to your self, your instincts, your ideals. Don't let one self absorbed asshole dictate how you go about your business.  I'm sure you will..... I assume you've run across similar folks uncountable times with that impulse intact.  Cheers brothA!
