RIP Dennis Dragon -- Surf Punks

An old skateboarding friend of mine just told me about him passing. When I hung out out at the skateboard parks in the late 70's, we loved listening to Devo, the Sex Pistols and the Surf Punks! Not a great drummer, but a good producer and funny dude who grew up surfing and skateboarding in SoCal. All their songs were funny and raw. I love that.

Dennis Dragon was the brother of the not quite as well known Daryl Dragon from the Captain and Tennille.

I heard this yesterday and can't find anything about it.  I could be wrong but I think this is an urban myth.

On the bright side, I like this Oregon based folk band Intuitive Compass. Dennis did a nice job in the studio with these folks.

Love the Surf Punks! We used to cruise the Walmart parking lot back in Arkansas and dream about the California lifestyle.

I'd loved to have seen some of those shows.
