You can always use an online picture resizer. I use the one from Web Resizer. You can reduce the size of your photo pixel wise. It is easy to figure out. Once the picture has been resized, then save it in your Pictures folder and then upload it as an attachment in your post. Just don't preview it though. If you preview your post with the attachment, the attached picture won't show. Instead of Preview, just click on Submit and the picture will show if it is small enough. I would suggest 1200 pixel size.
