W to NW winds?

I'll be surfing the LA area the end of next week and windguru is showing at least the afternoons and quite possibly the mornings getting a bit of wind out of this direction.
Any tips to a spot that can take some of these onshores?

So the morning winds the end of the week are now looking to be out of the north with Friday morning having some size. Most of the coast looks like it will work but not wanting to spend the day driving thinking somewhere west of Malibu for the early go and the coves on the south side of palos verdes for the afternoon.

SanO might be cracking Friday.

Sat and Sunday has a small south starting to show with sun am having some nice winds.

We'll see how good these predictions pan out.

This time of year Socal gets moderate winds, especially in the afternoons.  The gradients shift around quite a bit in the region, so I would not put a lot of weight on pin point forecasts several days out.  Just looking on Magic Seaweed for the breaks you are interested in will give you a fair idea, a day or two in advance.   The best advice is show up at the break in the morning while it is still dark and get a couple of hours in, it usually works before winds pick up, sometimes might hold most of the morning,  then head back near time of sunset.  Some of the spots you have mentioned may not be really SUP friendly.

Thanks for the feedback seadart. The times you mention are usually my program. However the spots I was thinking of past Malibu and the coves under PV I've only looked at from a distance. Don't know if I'm up for an in the dark paddle out at a rocky and new spot.

I can take some vibes as long as they don't trash the rental car.  Although I'd rather deal with stink eye from a small crew to hassling in a large crowd, maybe Sunset or Topanga will suffice. A jaunt down the coast might also work out , we'll see how this strong north wind pans out.
