We all knew about a recent ban on laptops on certain airlines. Which is clearly the result of sharing knowledge of a plot.

I doubt this would all come up if it hadn’t happened. Just the report on it is probably damaging enough.

Fact is that what is public knowledge is fine, but that wasn't why the immediate response after the meeting was to call and warn the CIA and NSA what had transpired...it's because by handing over details jeopardize relationships to allies that get intelligence...it probably jeopardizes the operation and it certainly makes allies more hesitant sharing information again. So at the end of the day, it increases risk because Trump is completely incompetent and driven by impulses. The man is incapable.

So at the end of the day we are now less secure because trump wants to brag about his good intelligence to Russians (at a meeting taken on Putin's request days after he spontaneously fired the leader of FBI...for investigating his ties to Russia.

Asking Comey to back off the investigation in itself seems short of obstruction since all involved have said that they were not influenced by it and that it did not impede or slow the investigation.  Taken in tandem with firing him and naming Russia as a reason?  That gets you there in my mind.  But, would it be determined that way by a supermajority?

I think the dems try to foce Ryan to make a choice. Either support Trump by refusing the impeachment for a guy that couldn't possibly do anything but make shit worse....or allow the vote, which forces every single republican to make a choice. If it goes through then they have lost the rest of their time in charge of congress. At that point they will get crunched in the mid-terms unless a war "happens"...then we're all fubared.

Look, here is my kind-of speculation. I think Ryan is trying / hoping for a twofer. There is NO WAY that Pence did not know about Flynn. If he didn't it would be a severe derelict of duty (I think Pence is a control freak)...if he did he has lied to congress. If Pence assumes the role, Ryan will have to wait it out, because Pence will have strong evangelical support.

At this point there are just too many ties to Russia for this to be a coincidence. The question then is...can it be proven. I'd say yes...just by looking at public speeches that should be pretty clear.
