More on the absurdity of that day. 

Dave and I paddling out in the dark on video and then Haley and Ian having a mock Superbowl competition wearing football jerseys and flinging themselves, apparently un-phased, down 30+ foot bombs.

This episode by Haley is what convinced me to wear 2 flotation devices when it gets big.  Haley's calm, almost humorous response describing what may be the worst SUP wipeout ever caught on film, I didn't see the footage until weeks later, made me realize he was either superhuman or had a strategy.

Haley and Ian wear double flotation when it gets bigger than 25 feet and then laugh off their crashes.
