Beach house in southern Mexico
« on: January 20, 2009, 12:26:10 AM »
Hi Zoners,
I am looking for a surfer/musician or artist or someone who wants to get away to look after my beach house in Oaxaca, Mexico.
The house is on the beach at a place called La Barra.  It has also been called La Jolla when Rip Curl did the great diservice of holding a leg of the world tour there in 06.
I have had the land since 1990 and built the house over many years.  At the time I was living in Lake Tahoe but am now back in Australia and have three little ones which tends to slow my travels.
Anyway I would like some like minded person to use the house for a year or so.  It is always better to have a house lived in.
there is no power or road to the house and there are no other houses on the beach.  It is very comfortable in a rustic way.
I did have the place to myself for many years, however now days it is a sought after break so can be quite busy in the water.  Most people go in the wet season(March- Sept) however there are fantastic waves at the other times of the year, I would say perfect SUP waves
Oh and some Spanish would be helpful and much more fun.
This is not a money making exersize though there are some small bills, it is just that I would rather have the place lived in.
If you or someone you know would be interested contact me here or with a private message
Please note this is not for a one week or one month holiday.  I am looking for some one to stay on for a while, enjoy and care for the house.
Dave

Hi Dave - just saw this post after almost a year, sorry!!  Are you still looking for someone to make themselves available??  My wife and I may be interested.  We are selling our business and house in NY and will be looking for a place to settle for a while.  Please let me know if you are still interested.  Thanks
