2014 model year, in pretty good shape. Couple of little paint chips, paddle scuffs, but no dings or repairs that I could see.

How'd I do?

Very nice. I am a sucker for orange boards with clean lines.
How heavy it is?

Haven't weighed it yet, but it's not bad. I'm guessing 27-28 lbs.

That's perfect.

So this came with no handles other than the recessed handle in the deck.

It has threaded hole(s) for handles on both rails and one over the recessed handle, anyone know where I could buy the soft handles like most boards come with? Like strap with neoprene sleeve over it?

I guess the JL's had a hard ABS handle on the rails that are prone to breaking?

I was thinking about adapting on of the EZ-Plug glue-ons to mount but they're a little short.

Might have to use a kayak handle but not sure which one, don't want anything hard or clunky.

Maybe something like this?

I was a little surprised that these don't seem to be readily available, or am I just not looking in the right place?

JL also makes the soft handles. They are super-light, so inquire. Otherwise, just about any SUP handle will work for you. Make sure they are light: the weight will very quickly add up.

Our JL 12-6 Stiletto, complete with 2 stock JL neoprene handles on the top rails and one over the recessed grip.  The pic is zoomed, so not the best resolution.
BTW, I love the orange colour of your 14 too...

It ain't over until the fat board sinks....

Thanks very much for the help guys, I sent an email to Marlon at JL and he got back to me quickly telling me I can order the handles from them.

14' of board can grab a gust of wind pretty well, so I'll feel a lot better when loading/unloading off the truck with more than just the recessed deck handle to hold onto.

I think we've all seen how sad a kid (me) gets when they drop their Creamsicle (my orange/white board) on the ground.

So this orange/white has really grown on me over the last few months, so much so that the new surfboard I just bought has a similar color scheme.

At 53 years old I just bought the shortest surfboard I've ever owned. (surfer's version of a mid-life crisis maybe?)

It should be a good match though; we're both short, wide, and round.  :-\

The 5'7" thinks that the 14' is her Mama.
