DUKE Oceanfest

Just a reminder for those who live on Oahu. The Oceanfest goes all week, but today is the start of the C4 SUP surfing part of the event. The first and second rounds start at 11:20am and the semi finals will be at 4pm. The finals will be held on Saturday at 4pm.

The event is a 24 man invitational and will feature top SUP surfers like Brian Keaulana, Duane DeSoto, Titus Kinimaka, Mel Puu, Kimo Miranda, Archie Kalepa, Bonga Perkins and Kalani Vierra from Hawaii and Eric Diamond, Rocky McKinnon and Scott Bass from da mainland.

This contest will be a “state of the art” display of SUP surfing at its finest. For those who are unable to attend, I will be reporting back to thestandupzone as the event unfolds. Should be amazing, I hope to see you there.............bill

Wow! The contest was everything fans of SUP surfing could want and more!

I am putting the final touches on my coverage of yesterday’s event and will have them posted by later today. There is so much to write about I have to do some editing and condensing but suffice to say the event was truly classic. Stay tuned.
