Gerry, Victor, Laird, Derrick, Gabby, Tom, all excellent people IMHO. felt honored beyond belief to be included in their converation and invited to Maui to stay with them. (Like a 'tard, I didn't get my shit together to go) they all loved that Jeff Clark and Grant Washburn said: "We were scared paddling across the Golden Gate on our Guns, this maniac swam it without a wetsuit!!!! From that point Laird, Victor, Gerry (my favorite surfer of all time) and Derrick Doerner talked with me like just another dude!!!!! Derrick was way intense: "You wanna tow in, Sean?" with the bulging eyes and crazy energy... Sorry I never got my shit  together to go. Sean no es bueno con las finanzas. I've had Gerry Lopez, Rennie Yater and Greg Noll ask me: "What's it like to drop in at Mavericks?" I said to them the same: "You ever surf Stockton Ave.?" "It's like that, but 30 ft. (Hawaiian)" They all knew what I was talking about. Rennie was hurting that he wasn't 10 years younger. Greg wishing for 20. I believe there's a big-wave Valhalla. I wanna talk to Jose Angel. And Eddie, and Dickie Cross. I know I'm in. Man this life can get good sometimes.Gónna go paddle in chop, imagine what it would feel like on an 7' 4" or 7'10" Wardog Jammer (Have you seen those things?) and God Bless all you with multiple board quivers. Yup. they don't look much alike, but yes. Both shredders, both into SUP, and both into downwinders. Victor here in Maui, Gerry on the Columbia. And both way too good at it.
