GoPro Selfie Stick Build Thread

I could buy one but given this set of materials how would you do it?

I may want to connect the 11" Kenalu shaft to the 13".  Then use the 1/4 X 20 bolt through the end of the PVC cap, PVC threads sanded down halfway might fit into shaft . . . . hot glue a Kenalu extended handle to the other end . . .

But there may be better ways.  Ideally this will be for a trip to the tropics for general walking around, but most importantly diving with GoPro.  Any quick connect mechanisms for inside Kenalu shaft diameter?
