Strangely enough I've wondered (and commented here) about the possibility that we were staving off the next ice age....we're overdue from a planetary perspective.

Oopsey, daisy! Just when the warming mongers were hitting their stride.

Only problem with all of this stuff is it is predicting the future with chaotic systems.  The stuff that actually happens only bears random resemblance to what is predicted to happen.
