WhatsSUP, had to give you a shout out for that tasty home brew "Endless Summer Ale", we cracked a couple and my beer critic of a brother in law loved it, he was amazed how good and clear it was, he kept saying how he could never filter it completely and your was steller !! good Job and thanks again, i'll be sharing a couple more with some folks at the Providence Paddle Battle in a couple weeks.

I will be presenting one to Mr. Big when I deliver his long awaited 7'6 JP Surf Slate.

PDLSFR:   Awesome!  I'm glad you liked it.....very well deserved given your role in helping out Mr. Big.   I must say it really came out very good - it was Munich Helles beer kit from Brewmasters.  It was my very first batch so I'm glad it turned out the way it did.....had it not I would have ended the brew hobby.  Since I last saw you I've brewed a batch of what I'm calling "Chowda-Head Ale" (I'm actually cracking the first bottle tonight with the wife).  And just this am I bottled a batch of "Wicked-Pissa Cerveza".  Each batch (five gallons or about 50 bottles) takes 2 weeks to ferment then 2 more weeks to carbonate upon

Say, ill be heading up this Thurs-Sun if you're around Newport.

Mr. Big: Hope to meet you, and any other Zoner's, sometime!!

One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

While in dry-dock have managed to sell and trade a lot of boards! This has been an ongoing project - 9'4" Rawson, 8'2" Rawson, 8'8" Angulo, 9'4" SIC, 12'6" Marlin,  9'2" JL stun gun, 12'6" JL blade II, and my King's 10' Crocodile - all gone. Thank the Lord!

The most interesting addition has been my JP Slate 7'6" which I pre-ordered 10 freekin' months ago. Can't surf yet on any thing, but I have been paddling on my Imagine 12'6" Rocket, and of course paddling around in circles on the Slate in the lake behind my house.

Cardio fitness, and strength coming back slowly and steadily. Can paddle for a little over an hour at 1-2 knots! Am now able to lift my arms over my head which was a good thing as my daughter and grandson came for a visit recently and he is a terror!

I appreciate all of the support from family and friends as I return to the land of the living from the land of the dead!

Be patient with yourself Biggie

We tend to expect too much from ourselves too quickly.

There'll be time and waves aplenty.

Best wishes

UNBELIEVABLE JUST AMAZING! Decided to go for a surf in small waves today as an experiment. Of course my new JP Slate burning a hole in my garage had nothing at all to do with it.

Went to spot that is smaller and less crowded, but the dudes in the shack had not left for the day. What the hell, back to  Radio Beach. Tide going out, lite off shore winds, perfect conditions for the return of Lazarus.

Paddled out in a spring suit, water felt cold, sign said 54, but that was from this morning. Splash, splash, hmm this 7'6" Slate is very challenging to say the least.

But then, as Saint Jimi H. once said  - trumpets and violins. Got my sea legs back and proceeded to have a great session on the Slate. Got cold and tired after 6-8 good waves and went to the beach.

Saw a familiar figure to the left, STC styling on a Sunova, the lifeguards all wanted to know where I had been, saw Tim with his ban pho midget board, and hung out on the beach. First day of summer for me, but what the hell, seven weeks ago I was d-e-a-d!!

Rick and Tim decided to go back out so I got the JP and shared a couple with friends. Big fun in the new world.

On the return I got smashed by a one foot shore break, humble pie and crow never tasted so good.

In the parking lot ran into Outcast as well. Drove to a friend's house talked story and it is now time for a nap!

Feeling incredibly blessed today!
