anybody here surf or witness malibu last week?

i'm writing a story about malibu and the big swell that rolled through last week and am trying to find people to interview, either surfers who were in the water or witnesses to the general scene.  i'm approaching it as a kind of oral history of the moment.  L.H. is going to be one of my guides and says he'll try to get alan sarlo for me, along with others, but anybody who was there and might have a story to share, i'd love to chat with.  surfer, bystander, hot chick, life guard, ambulance driver, cop, all-purpose weirdo, etc etc .  i'll also take leads and hot tips.  feel free to PM me and we can go from there.  (and i will be in malibu for eight or ten days starting at the end of next week.)

thanks, bob.  i'll give that a go.  he's pretty active these days on the surfer mag forums, so i dropped him a PM there but didn't hear back.  i want to take another stab or two before giving up.
