Winter Downwinder - San Francisco Bay - Video

Some of the biggest and most lined up downwind conditions I have seen in the east/south bay (Alameda) on Friday.  Wind was mid twenties with gusts in the thirties+ (MPH).

I suspect the long runup that south wind swells have from the Dumbarton to Alameda give the bumps time to build and organize. Right off the bat I was in some fun bumps and feeling quite rusty, it took a few minutes for me to get my downwind sea legs.

The first few rides were good size, so fun and easy and loooong, very much the opposite of the usual spring and summer Alameda DW run.

I'm wondering if the south bay is the opposite in spring and summer and the best runs are from say candlestick to Hayward?
Sure will be fun finding out.

14x30 blue planet Bumprider.  Water temp was probably around high 50s or low 60s F.
