Anyone ridden one of these?   It looks realyl hot!   however the step hull, ala Fountain powerboats, seems gimmicky, and a BOP specific board.   If it worked at all it would have to be on plane, otherwise it would seem to create turbulance and drag.   Of course I say this with absolutely no knowledge of this kind of hydrodynamics.

Thoughts?

9" thick seems like too much volume, except for a heavier paddler.

The advertised thickness is due to the V in the deck and hull, which is dramatic and goes back pretty far.   If they wanted to design   board that just plain looks fast, they did it!   I would love to try one of these boards to see if the step hull actually works, the bow entry is clearly designed for speed over stability, seemingly for a better paddler.   Price is nice too!

My suggestion, look elsewhere. I paddled with a guy today who owns last year's model and the quality isn't very good. After a year the standing are is sagging and the bottom of the board is all wavy. It's just a one layer construction to keep the price down. It's definitely a fast board but they have to improve quality. Can't say anything about stability since I didn't try it. For a little more money you get a Starboard Allstar. Love that board!
