Farallon Dreams: New VIDEO!
« on: January 16, 2014, 08:47:11 AM »
I had not made a video in a while but the recent California swell encouraged me to get out the GoPro.  The party wave motivated the production.

Since Farallon Dreams was posted on Vimeo it is forever editable.  Any suggestion for improvement CAN, and MAY, be incorporated with the links intact.  Kind of like crowd sourced editing.

Enjoy  8)

PS: Please do watch this on a big screen in HD.  It will better represent the 1080P source and artistic intent.

You lucky bugger!  Other than once in Puerto Rico, I don't think I have ever seen such clean slope.

You seem to have relocated the camera at 2:05.. where to?

HD also did not play for me; Vimeo said they were "processing HD".. or some-such .. Thurs/12:45pm eastern.

Like.

Cool video, to my uneducated eye, that's sure looks like a notoriously famous spot with nobody else out. Very cool.

Nice waves and SUP riding! Also dug the Caddy Shack gopher at the end. Nice one!
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Chest mounted.  I typically paddle out with the GoPro on my chest and then switch to Paddle for better perspective after a few waves of warm up.

PS:  I just updated the ending of the video with another rider and some pretty stuff.  It typically takes Vimeo ~ 45 minutes to process the change if it doesn't work right away.  Please be patient.

:D   I'm digging that, me and the gopher!

The view from the paddle mount is a real nice perspective.
How heavy is it with the camera out there?  Also must be quite a
learning curve to hold it in the right spot for the right result.
Thanks for all the work.   We like!
