Those who dare...
« on: August 01, 2013, 12:02:32 PM »
I think there is a trend towards more respect for physical courage over
moral courage and that's disheartening.

But still loved this.  If it gets too long skip to the end for the crazy
helicopter pilot.

Wasn't too long, went by quickly, because that was sick!!!
The overhead grab at 4:15 was unreal, let alone the chopper stuff.
"2 snaps up!"
It takes a quiver to do that.

Thread needs a different title.

Anyone even remotely interested in action sports needs to watch this.

^ I don't even know what to say.  As a kid who grew up skating on the 80s when that stuff was in its infancy, I am completely speech less.

Ironically my first board in 25 years just came today.  Got some Carver trucks.  Going for a little bit different vibe than that vid.  ;D

Incredible. the progression of sport seems to be getting impossibly phenomenal. I mean that literally. How long ago would a ramp-to-ramp jump of that height on a skateboard have been a major accomplishment. Now there's stunting between the ramps. You look at some old Evel Knievel video and it's so ho-hum it's hard to imagine that anyone cared.

Wow. Holy crap. Mad skills and great body position awareness in the air.

Back in the day, I pulled a backside Ollie (no hands) air just over the pool lip, thought I was the king for a minute. Child's play now.

I still have my Kryptonics board, w tracker Xtracks and Powell Perelta wheels, giant board by today's standards. But I can still walk the dog, tic tac and spin 2-3 360's on it. :-)

But the stuff he's doing, awe inspiring.
Semper Fi!

It's simple, either you get the wave or the wave gets you.

Did any of you Boston area guys used to skate at Zero Gravity back when you were kids?  I remember how big that place looked back then...and this dwarfs it.

Best Youtube comment,

"bob must wake up and go fuck you gravity"
