M-22 Challenge Anyone?

Any Zoner's doing this? It will be my first year and I'm super excited because it looks like such a blast! Plus it's an excuse to go back home. I'm guessing by the photos from years past that SUPer's are seriously underrepresented!

I'm coming off PT for a hip flexor injury, but just plan on taking it easy and enjoying the challenge. Just started running again, biking is no problem, and my new race board should be finished in May!

I am planning on doing this race, provided I can borrow my buddy's road bike. It sounds awesome!

Zoo did you already sign up for the race? Registration opened March 1st and they were filled within four hours! Reportedly, 500 people signed up in the first five minutes! (Myself being one of them, ha ha!) Hope you were able to get in - if not, I know they're allowing transfers until May.

I just got a road bike last fall after spending my life on a mountain bike. HUGE adjustment. I feel so tippy, fast and oddly positioned, so I'll definitely be getting used to that this spring. Hope to see you there representing for the SUP crowd

What's the deal on these transfers?

They'll do transfers until the end of April - not sure how you go about trying to find someone that wants to do a transfer, but I think your best bet might be checking out the M-22 facebook page and posting something there or seeing if there is someone that has posted something about wanting to transfer.  Good luck - I hope you can get in!

Update on the race - hands down the best event I have participated in. Absolute fun from start to finish. I didn't really do any special training, picked a good as opposed to grueling pace and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and perfect race conditions - no wind! SUPers EXTREMELY underrepresented - there may have been 10 total out of 900 some racers! During the paddle position of the event I was the only one I saw on the water! I have to admit I got a kick out of some of the stink eyes I got sailing by kayakers on an SUP - they sure didnt expect someone to be passing them on paddleboard, lol! I highly encourage you all to sign up for next year if you can - I will be for sure

Great job!  The M22 Challenge looks like a great event.  I would love to do it sometime. I bet you had a blast!
