River board

Between these three....which would be a good river board? Would like to use it on the lake a bit but mostly the slow waters and some gentle rapids of the river. Imagine Surfer/Corran Tahiti/Corran Waikiki? Demoing a surfer next w/e and a Tahiti when the shop gets one in.

That Hala looks good, but it doesn't seem to have an option to remove fins, which in shallow rivers is a must sometimes.

They are only 4" unbreakable fins. But yest they are non-removable so would get hung up in super shallow water or plants. I have used the Hala boards a bunch and hardly every have a issue, but in super low water I could see it catching. The Badfish MCIT has a removable center fin and two of the 4 inch ones. I love Jackson kayaks and the durability of the rotomold is the best, but at 56 lbs thats to much for me. My Hala is half that weight and rolls up. I am sure the Jackson performs much better though. I would love to try the SUPercharger. Hows it perform compared to other hard boards/iSUPS? Price is great for the Jackson too.

My SUPercharger really is good! Not as good as the Badfish MVP, not as snappy whilst surfing and not as forgiving when running rapids but much cheaper and VERY tough indeed. Check out my vid of it surfing a small wave near the River Thames....

The Corran StreetFighter looks really cool, and at 38 lbs is much lighter. Plus some great futures.

The Combat looks really interesting.  http://corransup.com/combat/

The Street fighter now available in plastic, although I do like the idea of the Kevlar model!

Very interesting how they do the lowered area for standing. Looks like they are self bailing too.

They have this one out in plastic sometime later this summer. Wish it were sooner. :( That is a sweet design though.

The new Starboard Whopper 2013 model is 10x35x6" at 300 Liters, and has 3 fully removable fins for shallow waters.  I have been loving it on the shallow runs I do almost daily.  The boards get twitchy with no fins but once you get used to using the edges more and maintaining a little momentum they work great.  You might be able to find one in the UK also:)
