Dont buy these they suck
« on: April 07, 2013, 02:59:59 PM »
needed some fresh booties-have and like the Vibram 5 toes and the Body Glove 3T

wanted to try something different-came across these

Pros-easy to see your toes going into their prospective homes-thats it.

Cons-not easily adjustable-weep holes on top of toes! ??? no place for sand-gravel-small children to flush out of at bottom!-who designed this-i took one step out of the sand and onto my board and they were filled with sand/gravel-dumb design-both the other brands have bottom vents
not easy to flush out by kicking your feet around once you get out past the lineup-had to take them off-this was after i lost one just going through one decent sized wall of whitewater-the whitewater sucked one right off my foot!

Didnt feel all that grippy either but did not have alot of test time-i took one decent wave-slipped on the bottom turn and ate crap and came up cussin
rolled them up and stuffed them into my sleeves for rest of sesh.

no go....

SoCal, a friend of mine works for Innov8 and he sent me a bunch of the Evoskins last summer. I agree, they are the hardest thing in the world to put on but do get easier with time. I can't attest to their functionality in surf though, I only wore them for flat water paddling since we have a lot of rocky shore entrances here. While I do have a loose affiliation with them, I can't say I recommend them.  Seem to be more hassle than not. They are designed for running though, not water sports, which I guess they could be decent at, but I'm not going to run to find out. Thanks for the feedback, I'll pass it along to my buddy.

Functionality aside, IMO they are highly fashionable and probably stack the odds of getting the ladies just by pulling them on.   :P

That review reminds me of the Mions of a few years back.   Super comfortable cork  insole  and a great walking shoe, but in addition to being a sand pit, once wet, the neoprene liner stayed wet... all day.
I really wanted to like them, my friend was a rep; but I just couldn't.   A division of Teva, they were shelved after 2 years.
I still have them and wear them on occasion, just not to the beach or where I will have to have them on all day in or around the water, which is the intended purpose.

I tried 5 fingers a few times.  They were great until they got wet!  Silly me, I had no idea they would grown in length by about a inch when wet.
