DW, When you use the wet out table, does the cloth go completely clear, or is the weave more visible compared to wetting on the blank?

Every time I use a wet out table, I have more weave showing (6 oz e). It's not a dry spot, It just shows the weave more than when it gets a heavy soak on the blank. It looks ok on a white board or if it is painted, but if I am glassing over a painted blank, it doesn't look as good.

Thanks,
Josh

I don't know the answer. I stopped using the cheap, generic E, long before I started wetting on a table. The S 4oz I use is from the Greenroom (Aerialite). The weave is so open, it looks more like burlap. So I'm wetting yarn strands. The yarn turns clear. You can always see the weave on S glass boards, regardless of how laminated.

Thanks.

I might have to mess around and do some tests to see if it is me or the glass. All my glass is BGF, but it might be the finish. I'll see if there is a difference between the 627 finish e and a218 finish in e and s. I think I have some volan cloth laying around too.
