I spoke to mark from (paddlemaui.com) about getting one for CA and he thought that may be overbuilt for glassy CA.

They look smoking fast.  Mark R. has the email for kevin Horgan who did the NYC to NewPort RI paddle this summer.  I would think that Kevin would be a great reference.
