First SoCal Winter Surf Advisory- Double-Overhead!!!!!

I am sorry to tangent this thread into my mini vacation plans but I am just fired up so I can't help it!   Pardon me. 

I am flying in Friday and have all of Saturday to hopefully surf. I will go to Infinity in Dana Point first thing and hope to get into a Pheonix V1 and paddle and get pointed in the right direction or -- gush -- maybe even get to tag along.

These conditions have me a little concerned.  I know all about Victory at Sea Conditions in the Great Lakes and deal with wind all the time but I know nearly nothing about ocean surf and know less than that when it comes to dealing with crowds.  I'll definately be out of my element.  But I'll be stoked and cautious and hopefully sensible and err on the side of caution and not charge right away.

Any tips are truly appreciated.  If conditions are beyond me I will be looking for some other paddling adventures and love downwinders too.  Anyone feeling generous could send a pm or email greatlakespaddler@gmail.com

Surfline's showing 2-3ft at Cardiff on Saturday.

Yes it is. 2-3ft is perfect for a demo day in my opinion. The Oceanside spot doesn't need much surf to be fun.

I am maxed for a few days, but on Friday night I will give the models a good look and let you know the scoop... kind of a "where to go if" specifically for Saturday and Sunday a.m.
