Sneaky big waves.

Anyone else have those days where you're having a fun little surf in constant knee to waist high waves when all of a sudden a set comes through that's two to three times bigger.. and cleans you up.. 

This was yesterday at a nice little local break called The Pines... We waited for about an hour after that wave for another.. but it didn't happen..

   Nice spot you've got there DJ. Reminds me of Sharks Cove here in Santa Cruz.
In the last (almost) 4 years that I have been on a stand-up, I've had more fun in small glassy waves like in your video.
Made me want to suit and go right now.

Nice Vid.  I see you are one of the Kialoa holdouts.  Not to put you on the spot but with all the furor over the Kenalu why have you stuck with the Kialoa?  I am trying to keep an open mind.

Wow, glassy, clean lines, no beach break, swells 15 or more seconds apart, what a dream!

Can't wait till my youngest goes off to college and we head south, back to the ocean!
