Fantastic Redbull Supernatural snowboarding on NBC
« on: March 29, 2012, 10:04:02 AM »
Sat morning 7-9 am HST.  Is it 6 hr difference to the east coast?  I don't know who has DST so you mainland  guys will have to check your local listings.  But here in Hawaii it's on KHNL (NBC) channel 13 on my direct TV.

Oh yeah, it's called Redbull Supernatural and it's taking place at Baldface SnoCat Lodge near Nelson, B.C. which is a must see place if you snowboard.  The guides are the best and their terrain set up is unbelievable.  People around Nelson have tons of Aloha and the women are so incredibly beautiful.  I think the best looking girls in Canada flock there.  Then  they get out and do stuff outside ... even in the winter.

In the summer they have this long finger lake called Kootenay Lake.  I got a few guys up there into paddle boarding.  Gets windy.  Nelson is off the charts. All the rich oil guys from Alberta have already jacked up the real estate.   Think Hood River with Hockey.  The Junior team in Nelson Rocks!

This is a great link to how Travis Rice created the course that they use in the event.

No shortage of gluteus mac in that vid.

I only wish I had video of this guy I saw in Aspen in 1968 who was hucking it large and doing some pretty radical moves ... at a time when almost no one even considered leaving the surface.  Tom something, forgot his last name.  But when you go first it's got that element of the unknown which is huge.

I think that ballet skiing would have gone mainstream if only they'd done it in groups of 8 or 10 in a synchronized fashion.  And possibly at night with colored lights.

And with with fountains and animals?
Taller than most, shorter than others.
