gym / fit-ball balance training
« on: April 03, 2012, 10:54:26 AM »

I used to sit on the ball for a minute as part of warm-up, but now it's morphed into a regular little interval adventure..i.e. (3) 2-3 minute intervals and abs/core are cooked pretty good.  I won't work abs/core that hard without sum fun factor...and clearly I'm a sucker for balance training :)

*LUCKY to be out on bay (MD/Ches) a bunch in March this year, but always looking to mix up gym routine with stuff that requires body awareness, focus.....

Did you used to be in the circus?  That's pretty amazing stuff - probably much harder to do than it appears (and it looks tough to begin with)...

ha..no circus..was T&F/Decathlon and football guy.. but was always trying tricks.. skateboard, water-ski, trampoline, diving off roof into foam pits....  Thankfully, my parents were not over-protective or micro-managing...and thankfully I survived..

fell off ball a bunch before getting comfy...key is getting relaxed keeping your weight pressed against ball.. if you're gonna fall, don't panic..fall into it/roll w it while pressing weight against ball..that way its a soft fall.
