Did the Rusty ad kill the Boardworks SUP?

Oh Man, I was just checking out the prices of Rusty SUPs because a local shop has them pretty cheap.  This thread came up in my search. I had no idea about this ad deal.  I wanted the 10' 4" as a big wave board for the sloppy conditions in Norcal.

So will you guys yell at me if I buy one? I've just made the half century mark for surfing and one thing remains the same:  Surfers are kooks......they even made up the name.

The add caused quite a stir I remember.  My opinion is the add is a non issue since Rusty SUP and Rusty surf are under separate management.  Regardless of anything else, if you want the Rusty and like it then buy it.  I really doubt anyone else will care but if they do they'll get over it.
