The sad thing is that I could imagine people out there somewhere doing that--like SoCal Supper's (I think) picture of the escalators to the health club.

Would that model work for me, or should I wait for the 14' carbon version?

Seriously, it looks fine, but I think blueplanetsurf's trainer looked like it had some strong advantages over it.

Ching would still beat me even if he attached that to his race board-he has been sup surfing a lot lately at Dpatch and besides his paddling prowess, uh yeah, he can surf the crap out of that little 404 hes on.

I'm imagining someone training for a bi or triathlon in their living room going from this, to bike trainer, to treadmill.

Paddled by a boat house where a guy in the window was on a rowing machine.  I looked away pretending not to notice.

For $2200 you could buy a pretty nice wetsuit.  If you are stuck inside because of weather or iced over water, use it as an opportunity to cross-train... Plenty of other machines and weights at the gym or in your garage compliment paddling.  Save your $.
