Some love for the common board

Today I paddled my Ron House Laird board. Varying conditions. Flat. Chop. Mammoth Sea Ray boat wakes.  Running the swells in the channel created by the battling tides and strong winds. Thought I might drown at one point while doing this. Current was so strong that I thought I would get sucked out into the Gulf of Mexico during one getoff.  And such. I just have to say that I love this board and feel that I can do no wrong on it. Not the fastest but if you work your stroke you can cover some decent territory. And I swear I could stand with both feet on one side of the board and stay dry.  My wife mentioned while following me in her kayak how much fun I looked to be having. And after paddling the surf ski 17 miles yesterday I really had the _rotation_ working.  This is one of those investments that I am really getting my money's worth out of. Love for the common board.
