14' Naish Glide vs. 14' C4 V1

Looking to buy my first downwind all around board. Will be used for flat water, training, downwinders, coastal runs, some side winds some upwind and some small wave riding in between. How would these 2 boards perform in these conditions and which board would you recommend. I'm 5'6 140 lbs experianced SUP waverider.

I cannot comment on the C4 but love my 14 Glide. I do weigh about 50 pounds more than you and the board is thick thru the outline. All that volume is great for catching bumps but might be difficult to control for your weight. Try and demo, it will be worth it in the end. The nose sits high with all that rocker ( great for large swells). I use the board for everything and it is my most used and loved board. Cheers

Those two are as different as night and day.

The Glide is a flat bottom hull designed to plane up and hit high speeds in windy downwind conditions. While the C4 is a rounded bottom hull designed to excel in way less wind, to no wind.

When you look at where both shapes were born, the C4 in Oahu (less wind) and the Glide in Maui (high wind island) it makes sense. Where do you live?
