June 26th 16 mile downriver race in Sacramento, California

This event was a blast last year if you missed it.  The current runs about 2 mph except at 2 small rapids where the current can hit 10mph!  It is like paddling 15mph when you blast through.  If you have not yet done a River Race you are really missing out.  Entry form here: http://www.fastkayak.com/rcp11.pdf

Hopefully the river is still high, cause aren't there some pretty rocky sections?

Higher than last year which was fine unless you try shortcuts along the sides.  There are lots of surf skis that do this race with thru hull rudders,  I did put on a plastic Drake fin on just in case I got shallow last year, probably still a good idea.
