Hey, the turn out for our last clean up at  Scallop Pond on Eastern Long Island  was not as large as we had hoped for. We had about 54 people sign up and 16 people showed up ! I think mostly due to the weather, we had so much food left over we gave away as much as possible and donated what was being accepted to a local food pantry / food kitchen.  None the less  the few who showed up helped  us get rid of major amounts of trash,you know who you are ! I THANK YOU SO MUCH and so does the ENVIROMENT.

One of the issues we have here is that our town recycling center / landfill makes it difficult and expensive to dump. So a good portion of the population whether it be residents or tourists search for out of the way and off the beaten track places to get rid of - trash, appliances, tires, engine blocks .... so this is where we come in.
