His garage is full of crashed gliders in various stages of repair.....

December in Nicaragua. Big Corn and Little Corn Islands... no SUP's anywhere but it would have been a perfect place for them. Some awesome downwinders there too I bet... 20+ knot winds on several days (wind everyday), I'm not too familiar with downwinders but I think you could have easily ridden swells with wind at your back the entire way from one island to the next (13km) and hopped the little ferry right back.
