Super supplement?
« on: January 23, 2011, 01:49:00 AM »
I've been reading lately about an interesting supplement for aging athletes that might deliver a substantial boost in performance and have some other side benefits. It's complicated, but it seems the sleazy MLM marketing company Herbalife got this Nobel prize winning Phd to put his name on a supplement containing Arginine, a precursor to nitric oxide development. Production of nitric oxide decreases with age. Nitric oxide appears to have several important roles, keeping blood vessels around the heart dilated and helping to eliminate lactic acid from exercised muscles.

Herbalife and the doc were both making all kinds of claims saying it eliminated the possibility of heart problems, etc, etc. all of which was premature considering the stage of the testing. Lots of arm waving and so on.

Fast forward five years, the product is still selling but not like it was when it was the fountain of youth, and there are some cheaper sources now, and a new study says it dramatically improves performance for older athletes. Like an average of 17% more sustained effort before lactic acid starts to accumulate in the muscles. That's pretty cool.

Anyway I did an article on it at Xgeez: http://www.xgeez.com/?p=483  I've ordered a big bottle o' horse pills to try out. Way cheaper than the Herbalife stuff. I'll let you know what happens.

Arginine Alpha-Ketogluterate was a vasodilator that alot of us used to use back in high school (about 5 years ago for me) that were big into powerlifting. The theory back then was it would create a bigger "pump" by increasing the bloodflow/size of veins. It was hit or miss for most people. I never really tried it because I wasn't after the "pump" like everyone else. I found that if my muscles were too pumped up (via a supplement), it would limit my range of motion and my workout would actually suffer from it. But NO-Xplode still sills like crazy and all it is is a mix of Arginine and Creatine (plus a bunch of energy supplements I can neither spell nor pronounec). Some people do swear by it.

My vote is to just go for the Cialis.  Be wary of the "pump" :P

I'm wary of taking any supplements, but I have found that ground-up Cialis or Viagra can be useful on days when the wind isn't strong enough for downwinding.  I just toss a couple handfuls of it into the air and the breeze stiffens right up.

I've never windsurfed, but if I did, I'd be concerned about it affecting my mast.

Guys there is a super supplement that's been around for a little while that could be what your looking for to safely enhance performance, particularly in older athletes. The product was originally designed as an antioxidant, and if fact it is the most powerful one ever tested! It literally pegs the charts when measured for it's ORAC value. I have personally seem measurements in the negative 700 range! which many scientist would say is theoretically impossible yet it's true!

The really interesting thing for athletes is that it dramatically increases our bloods ability to carry oxygen. when taken most people report it feels like having a oxygen mask on. We have endorsements from the Runner's World runner of the year (a 47 year old guy) We also have a documented double blind placebo controlled study done with a university cycling team where they saw a 55% reduction in the production of lactic acid! Muscle soreness is virtually eliminated !

The product is at it's core, very simple,  ionized hydrogen, because it is made of a core building block of the human body, no one is allergic to it. We can give it to infants of 90 years olds without worry or counter indication. (unlike so many others on the market)

I personally have been on it for 12 -13 years and my company has sold over 12,000,000 bottles of it and you have never heard of it... am I right?

If you are even mildly curious or looking for a legitimate product from a solid company that's already done the research go to my site www.GORBC.com send me a email and I'll consider sending you a bottle to sample or at least a link whereby you can do further research to verify anything I've said.

Welcome B. Kahuna, I have something to sell you too.  Not just some 47 yo runner, but every athlete has endorsed it.  For a limited time, I will get you a top secret supply from Nigeria.  The original owner died but he didn't leave a will.  I will need a small processing fee.  Western Union works best.

Oh yeah, this supplement is known by some as dihydrogen monoxide.  Don't let anyone try to mislead you though.  I have the real stuff.  PM me for details.

Bill not sure what your problem is but you are obviously uninformed. Yes it is a networking company. one that spent over 20 million on research. do you have that kind of coin to make as an investment. I sincerely doubt it.

personally I earned over $ 2,000,000 in commissions in the last ten years from this incredible company. No that not a typo that 2 million in cold hard cash that's funded many a great surf trip. So scoff all you like as you trudge off to your job tomorrow morning.
I will be out surfing.

btw all I did was to offer information and a free sample, good luck to you I suspect you'll need it

I "suspect" that when your first post on a forum is to introduce your product/company and try to "give out free samples", you most definitely won't get a warm welcome. And to further insult someone that's been on this forum for ages, you're not doing yourself any favors. Now go make another 2 mil Donald Trump.

Can we get some book going on this.  I'd like to wager $50 yes Bill's wallet, $50 no to Bill's work trudging.

Who cares that you can give it to infants, or what it is that you're giving to them.  I want to know what their 90-year-old mothers are taking!

Or if you mean "infants that are 90 years old" I'm not sure if their results are very applicable to other people.

this thread was started discussing a supplement that supposedly might benefit those of us active in the sport. It was slandered by the writer as coming from a "sleazy mlm company" the inference being it was ineffective. quite honestly I'd never heard of it. and therefore withheld any comment maybe there a lesson there for some...

To recap; I simply offered to give some of my favorite product away at my expense, not selling anything, just offering to anyone truly interested in a safe performance enhancing supplement.

Falco, for the record, I don't need to "try to do" anything thanks.  I sincerely thought there might be a few guys out there that would appreciate my generosity and benefit from what is a really great product for those of us in highly aerobic sports. In most circles that would be considered a grand gesture, but when I read the tone of Juan's snide comments I thought a reasoned rebuttal was in order. My mistake, pearls before swine I suppose

BTW ours is a publicly traded company, everything I've said can be documented, including my income, have a great day tomorrow,
