When we go down for Spring Break we go to 16th street - really don't have anything to compare it to, but nice parking area and folks have been friendly there and seems to always been a break.

Great info Caribsurf!! We're not big eaters or drinkers - even though we like our fair share , so looking at the Hilton might be the way to go - plus I see Jet Blue flies there out of Raleigh - thanks

Travel, Trips, Destinations / all inclusive resort and surfing in Barbados suggestions?

Looking for a place for our 25th anniversary next fall and was looking at Barbados after looking here on Zone - I had to goggle to see where it was. Wanting some SUP waves and wife needs nice, but not too crazy resort and was thinking an all inclusive resort might be nice. I'm not much of a traveler (only been out of the country once - Scotland to golf), so the simplier the better. I saw where we can fly direct from Atlanta - What would waves be like in the fall and any suggestions on a resort? Thanks from a very, very travel rookie that would be better with my SUP and a tent, but after 25 years with me she deserves something a little better

Looks like we are now going to get a late start so looking at maybe stopping in St. Augustine this Saturday to break up the trip - plus the weather looks nice and the wind seems to be low. Any suggestions in St. Augustine where to go to SUP surf and my boys to prone surf? Any information on parking would be helpful also -- thanks!

Thanks Mdsurf - we're going to Cocoa on Monday and Tuesday. Went to 16th street a couple of years ago and had some good sets and not crowded and my SUP seemed welcomed

Headed from Va to Orlando for Spring Break with the boys this weekend. After a night stay in Sanatee, SC would like to stop in Daytona/New Symrna for the afternoon to get in some SUS and prone surfing for the boys before continuing our trip to Orlando. Not too picky on conditions as I figure it will be an unknown. Thanks for any suggestions of locations and parking.

+1 for you for being able to get. Prayers for your son and family and doctors. The time on the water I get to spend with my two boys are invaluable and I try to never take it for granted.

Wetsuff  - Give us a report when you get back. We're headed down in April for spring break with my boys. Will use Orlando as our hub as my parents are there, but will be looking at a few day trips to the coast. Both boys prone surf and I SUS. Good luck1!

I use 5mm booties, but my son uses split toes and he uses baby power to help get them on and off. He also noticed if he wet them before sliding on, they went on a lot easier. I can't believe I had to break out the spring suit last weekend already in VB.

We surfed 16th street last March for Spring Break. I SUS and my son was a proner. Nice parking there with a bathroom and felt no ill-feelings from the the people surfing there.

I bought a 2010 Starboard Blend from a fellow Zoner in June and have misplaced the fin screws.  Any suggestions how I can order new ones? -
