Bought a V2 so this one has to go. Wing is great shape, it has a few scratches. This was a great wing to learn on, really stable, not too fast, and carves through the waves. Asking $525. Not really interested in shipping. Wing is in Wilmington, NC. Thanks for reading.

I'm not very big, I weigh in at 69 Kg or so. I use an Armstrong 4.5 on most days when the wind is over 14ish. It's pretty grunty for it's size. Real has a video comparing 5m wings which may help with your decision.

I saw a used 1850 (not the A+) for sale on Real for $550 plus tax. I didn't pull the trigger and it's gone now, but does that seem like a fair price? I am on the look out if anyone is considering selling theirs...

So I shimmed the 300 with the +1 and it worked! I’m able to gybe through my turn without stalling. I’m going to try the 232 with the 0 shim next. Thanks for the suggestion. I did notice a vibration with the +1 shim, maybe because I’m going a bit faster? Nothing was loose and I wasn’t dragging anything.

Which aspect of jibing is making you struggle? It could be more of a subtle technique change than the tail choice holding you back.
I get mostly turned around, lose speed and then fall down in a big mess. I almost had it on my regular side but nope, big fail. I did notice the board’s nose would rise up so I started riding with both feet more forward to keep it level through the turn.

My setup: 1550 v1, 85 mast, cf300 with 0 shim. My mast is about a 1/2” back from forward. I’m wondering if I should shim the 300 with the +1 shim first or use the 232 with the 0 shim. Will the 232 help with connecting my gibes which I am still struggling with? If anybody has a similar experience I’d love to hear about it. Thanks!

South end Wrightsville Beach is really good on a SE.

Patrick. Is Kelly Park deep enough for any 85 cm mast? I went out front at Jetty Park today. Super fun! Shore break was very manageable

Hey that rhymes! I’m in the area for a few days. I winged at the slick yesterday and it was, bump bump bump on the bottom. Where do the locals go? Beautiful area btw, Even saw a launch last night- very cool.

I have a Switch surf wing that needs to go. I had fun using it to learn how to wing foil but it really is too big for me. Plenty of low end grunt and light for its size. Really easy water starts. It is in great condition - no tears, no repairs, and seams are tight. I just replaced the leading edge bladder and have a new spare for the strut. Wing comes with a wrist leash and backpack. I'm in Wilmington, NC. Local pickup only please. $450.

I ended up going to Canadian hole. There were about 10 wing foilers there and a bunch of windsurfers. It is a pretty small area but do-able. The north boundary is pretty evident at low tide. Wind was out of the SW gusting into the mid 20s. Two kiters decided to land their kites just north of the parking lot and got lots of stink eye from the windsurfers.

Thanks. We are staying in Waves. We were there in July and I kited north of that bridge just south of Jockey's Ridge at the public beach. It was fun but super shallow.

I've heard Canadian Hole is supposed to be deep enough for foiling. Can anyone verify this? Are there any other decent locations in the sound that are easy to access? I know Real has their "foil garden" but is it accessible if you aren't staying there? Thanks.

My first post here, so Hello! Growing up camping, we were taught to stuff our sleeping bags any which way back into their sacks rather than rolling them up neatly. It seems rolling tends to compact the insulating material inside which could affect its performance. With my wing, I tend to do the same - ball it up at the beach and then dry it flat when I get home by draping it over something so air gets underneath.
