Wingsurfing, Windfoiling, Wingfoiling, Wing SUP / Gong Shipping

Hi all-

I am considering getting a Gong wing, foil and board because their package deals are pretty insane and the stuff seems like it will be perfect for a beginner like me. But my one issue is shipping of a rigid board. Gong isn't shipping them to the US and the companies they recommend are not either. I sent them an email, but no response so far.

My question then for everyone is has anyone had success getting a Gong rigid board shipped into the US and how did you pull that off? The boards look pretty decent too!

SUP General / Need a Board in Charleston, SC in 2 weeks

Hi all-

I will be visiting Charleston for the first time in over 10 years visiting college friends (C of C) and want to surf a bit when out there. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to rent a good SUP for surfing? I currently ride an 8-0 SIMSUP3 by L41 surfboards here in Santa Cruz  and do not want to be stuck on a boat. Ideally looking for a 9-0 to 9-6 at the biggest and probably about 130L

The Shape Shack / Thinking of shaping a DW Board

So I am thinking of shaping a Downwind board and wanted to get everyones opinion on a few things.

1. Do I go stringerless and wrap the rails in carbon or with a stringer? Will this be stiff enough with 1.5# foam?
2. Glassing schedule of 2 x 6 oz bottom, 2 x 6 oz top plus a deck patch- Strong enough?
3. Thinking of a 16-17 footer by 28 or 29 wide. Thoughts?
4. who has the best rudder system to copy?
