Hey there,

Hanalei is not the easiest place to find "cheap". it's so hard to get to and out of the way, there's not like a motel 6 or anything. That's also what makes it rad. I'd look on craigslist around Princeville. that's the closest place where people rent condos and such. If you're going over, maybe check it out last minute and maybe you'd pick up a deal. Otherwise, stay in Kapa'a (spelling?) and drive up to the surf but that's a bit of a haul on the roads there.
