I got the cheaper FCS II Connect GF Longboard 9" Fin (material glass flex) at almost half the price of PERFORMANCE GLASS material. With the 9" fin I notice some stability and control on little waves = more fun in the surf

I've had a 12'6" Bullet for awhile now.  Primarily bought it for fitness and use it for surfing small mushy days. 

I just put an old 6" swept back surf fin in it - too small for surfing.

Any advice on a good fin for knee to chest hi surfing appreciated.

try the FCS II connect dolphin shape fin in either 8" or 9".
Just an example I use the 9" fin on my 14ft.

I got one of those gopro surf mounts but haven't installed it yet and still setting in my draws as I'm happy with helmet & head strap mounts. After this story I might think about on what to do?

I use lockrack but your limited to multi stack height boards. So easy to load the boards in/out. It has soft rubber base and arm grip therefore less presure on your board like the straps. I use sup double arm with 50cm base combo.
