Also, only dealing with vaccinated people insures you're dealing with people that have some common scene. In other words, I want to avoid unvaccinated people for more reasons than being safe.
Another not really bright statement. I hope we’ll never cross paths, I am cool with that.

I think that all public businesses should voluntarily post a sign that states the percentage of how many of their employees are vaccinated. I have a right to know if a restaurant's, retail store, dentist's office, what ever, business's employees are vaccinated. I can then use that information to determine how safe I'll feel using that business.
If you feel unsafe you should stay home. There are bunch of ways now how you can successfully enjoy your life in your house without exposing yourself to a dangerous world. And no, you don’t have that right to know…

Which pedestal are you using? What are trying to achieve?

We are using the solid single piece stretch apple band. Been surprised it hasn’t stretched out or broke. Had it about 6 months so far.
It was great for me until it broke. So I would not trust it 100% near water. Braided one seems to be much stronger but time will tell.

Robert, you should try braided solo loop from Apple. Pricey but it is the best band imho.

Use search - PonoBill and Dwight went into great detail.

Do you pay attention to the tides? In my area ebbing tide really sucks for foiling but flowing tide seems to give boost to even the smallest of the waves.

Agree with Jon, trade lift for speed. I had 280 and it was a beast to paddle it into waves. I replaced it with 240 and it was night and day difference.

I will disagree. I have exactly the same setup and 210 was exactly my next wing. Yes it didn’t have the same lift as maliko on my first 10 waves or so. But I quickly realized that I might have been too front foot heavy. I’d say stick to it - ideally I would recommend to be on 17.5 flip tail (huge difference). Never needed any shims on my JL with Gofoils.

I wing with the long pedestal and sup foil with short. There ain't so much difference between the two but winging with longer pedestal removes that nervousness in the board and long pedestal DOESN'T hinder carving ability. Get both

I think he'll love gl180 for the conditions you describe. I have no experience with NLs yet so can't comment on those. Yes GLs are easier to pump but if he struggles to pump Iwa- Gl will not make him a better pumper automatically - it is more technique dependent imho. Once he gets the hang of Gls he will likely never ride Iwa. Those feel like you have handbrake on. Also new pedestal and flip tip tail is a must with GLs.

@gone_foiling What size board are you using to get up and going in 9 to 10. For the gofoil are you using the m200 or gl24?
Quatro wing drifter 5.4 @ 90l, 6 m swing and gl 240
