sucks--he died of prostate cancer in his early 50's-nd alwasy a healthy guy--despite his often whacko antics, he was never a drug user, when even barack was herbing it up, and shrub was candying his nose

i miss frank--truly brilliant musician--arguably the best wah pedal electric guitarist ever, he was an amazing conductor, and wrote (think sheet music) all parts for all instruments you hear on any of his recordings--his forays into avant garde jazz are on a level with american masters--dweezil is a great guy

the estate only recently digitized the zappa and mothers collections--ive been reliving this music for months

he did a halloween night show at avery fisher hall here in nyc for 10 years or so. caught many of those, the last being after the release of overnight sensation--amazing show.

i should find a frank blog!

I will post a pic when I have the board out again. it's n my garage a few blocks from here. City living. But it is totally about aesthetics--the board is rock solid and stiff. Something about that green paint didn't bond so well. But Ive got no dings/dents, no bubbles, no soft spots. Integrity is fine. If anything my sense is it's a very durable build. Too lazy to sweat it, and enjoying surfing it.

i assume it surfed as always, held together fine

agreed totally re the fanatic's over top logo--love my allwave, could do without the eye assault--and the 2015's are worse than ever

i like bold arty graphics on a board--but this is promo logo crap

only real issue i have had is that the garish paint chips---minor bump leaves a 1 inch chip--you can see the carbon layer underneath, and integrity of board is fine, but clearly there was something wrong with the bond btwn paint and next layer in

nbd---i love surfing it

you could ask what it weighs, and then compare to stock weight. that would give you a clue of freq and qual opf repairs.

got nasty bursitis years ago from over-practicing tennis serve, followed by hitting with a ball machine for an hour. The machine won. I was debilitated for months. Functional only after 2 months of rest, then 3 months of PT.
I can feel the pain slightly in connection with paddling, but the range of motion is very limited compared to big topspin tennis swing and serve. Havent played tennis since i trashed shoulder.

Shoulder injuries suck most when trying to sleep. any shift or movement in the night complicates the shoulder and wakes one with pain. i am very careful with mine--anything remotely like the bursitis i had would make paddling out of the question. I couldnt take my damn wallet out of my back pocket--carrying grocery bags was a non-starter.

wow--first look says it is a very cool board--how did you order? how is it shipping? expensive?

i bet the shape makes it feel less tippy than a typical 29"
