Classifieds / Jimmy Lewis & KeNalu

Hi everyone, physical issues are forcing me to sell my wonderful new paddle board.  😥😥.
It’s a Jimmy Lewis Cruise Control 11’, perfect condition, rails are taped.  I’m selling my excellent KeNalu Konihi 84 paddle with it.
I don’t want to ship it, so the buyer will have to be on the east coast.....I’m in NC.

Can anyone suggest good goggles or masks for ocean use?  Next time I’m at the beach, I want to do some underwater exploration.  Polarized would be a big plus.

Gear Talk / Another Ke Nalu Blade Thread

I’m looking for a blade that is very forgiving on the shoulders.  Can I get input on the Elite Wiki 74 vs the Mana 82 vs the Konihi 84 (which I have but might trade).  What are the weight differences?  Which blades require the more perfect technique?

I don‘t have an on-the-water report yet, but I did get the rail tape on my new board.  No big deal, I know, but for me it is!  😄😄. We had a blackberry winter, then I had to work, so it took a week for me to have time to do it.  It’s not a perfect job, which bothers me, BUT no one else will notice u less they’re really looking.  The worst thing is that I couldn’t get out a smal black hair (darn cat) that’s pretty close to the “J” in Jimmy Lewis.  Aaarrrgghh!  I, of course, will see it EVERY time I look at the board!  Maybe the little hair personalizes the board?  Although the tape isn’t on there perfectly, I know it will provide some bit of protection so I can take it out now.  Probably tomorrow.  If it paddles as good as it looks, I’ll be stoked!

Have any of you ever transported your board on the car roof for long distances in the summer?  Thinking about cross-country trips, when it can get blazing hot.  Are there any super-protective board bags as far as heat protection?

Can anyone advise me on a board similar to a Sunova Search?  I love the thin rails on that board, but I need a less expensive option.  I like being being a little lower in the water, not bobbing too much, if you know what I mean.  Thanks in advance!

How have you guys shortened your Ke Nalus to 71-ish inches?  How do I do it if all their shafts are tapered?  Thanks for your help!

Sunova SUP / Search 14 and 12

I was lucky enough to paddle supthecreek’s Search 14 when I visited him last summer.  I liked that board on the inland water.  Has anyone here paddled the 12?  I think the 14 might be too much board for me, but the 12 might be something worth saving for.
