Or…$500 for both

Moving to mountains and just never got use as I was deployed.

Local pick up in St Augustine beach Florida only.

Finally a decent inflatable!!!  The only problem I see is if it folds in half it still might not be small enough to be under the 62” baggage limitation which would defeat the purpose of having an inflatable imho. I travel a lot so beating the $150 each way charge would pay for itself within a few trips.  64”/2=32”+28”width=60” then add thickness of bag and it’s likely just over 62”...maybe one size smaller?

Looks like they used the 100cm sold carbon mast with it and seems pretty stiff...nicely done gong! Now maybe the shipping will be affordable...

Doesn’t apply to Golf Bags. Get one.

Got an old SS golf bag for years... I’m 50/50 on getting away with it.

I had something similar and they wouldn’t even answer my emails.... VERY frustrating company to deal with...but their products are actually not bad for the price. Too bad they don’t have a US rep. Heck the stuff ships from China...easier to go to California direct than to Europe then back to US.

My take, good products for price but huge hassle with shipping and customer service

Not sure if this video posted correctly but this is sick. That 6m looks really stiff. Too bad the website doesn’t show any prices or how to order etc.

He said wind was 0-12 knots, using a 58l board and 2100cm Moses, weighs 80kg. Dude has skills.

Really opens up areas that I hadn’t considered winging...

Good info Bill, thankyou. That’s kind of what I figured...HA can be amazing if I’ve got the skills. I’m not sure if I do but I’ll give a whirl and see what happens.

Thanks again

Wingsurfing, Windfoiling, Wingfoiling, Wing SUP / Low wind foils

Question for you foil gurus...

I’m looking at gong foils and was wondering which would be better for lightest wind.

1. new veloce xxl is 107 wide but only 1800cm projected surface area and perceived 1900, not sure what perceived means. Very thin high aspect but not much area.

2. Curve XXL 120cm wide with a projected area of 2610cm and perceived 2800. Still pretty high aspect but not like the veloce.

So I’m wondering for ultimate low end do I go with the big curve or pump and hope to get low end with speed. Seems like veloce has range but might be harder to get on foil in really low winds.

Any thoughts as I see axis and others going high aspect as well but obviously surface area comes into play as well.

Thanks,

D

Very interested to hear how it goes with the smaller two. Have fun!

Nice video!

I was thinking the same thing about the Armstrong upgrade. Would that carbon one piece mast help? Seems like the XXL is higher aspect than the Armstrong 2400 as well.

Just curious what’s your thinking on gong vs Armstrong etc.

Keep rocking the lake, something we Bainbridge islanders were always jealous of was fresh water. ;)

Admin, VERY interested to hear how it goes with those boards...especially if you’re able to ride the 4’8. At 55L and you being 70ish that’s exactly 15L under which is what’s recommended for advanced riders.

I’m curious if you’ll be able to knee start or do the “poo stance” start.  ;D

Thanks for being the guinea pig for everyone and buying all three. Would love to hear about the weights of the boards when you have time too.

Awesome thanks!

Admin, I’m looking forward to hearing your results. I see Matt riding a 33L board with a 6m in 12knots+ so I’m thinking eventually most will go that direction. I mean why do a tricky knee start in chop/swell when you can just sink it?

Watching one day Maui do a knee start on the 50L and then a sink start on a 26L, the sink start actually looks easier and more controlled...But time will tell.

Maybe I’ll see you in the gorge this summer...Rufus was always my favorite camp spot.

Good winds

Different sports...

I’m sure there are paragliders laughing at this.

You wouldn’t jump out a balcony with a surfboard but would you say surfing is lame?

Each sport has its niche. And I remember how windsurfers laughed at liters until people like Lou and Flash changed their minds. Wing dinging will progress and be kinda like windsurfing imo...it’ll never develop the lift a kite can ...but can still be amazing especially in waves. Jmo though

Great video admin...actually looking forward to how you get along on the fanatic.

I agree the new boards are shockingly small but high volume.  BUT a 30L board is still going to be more maneuverable than a 60L board...and am wondering if it might actually be harder to knee start a board that’s under your weight than to just sink it???
