This is indeed a Star Trek, mind-blowing technology.It is not just for prototyping with plastics.Many materials can be used for 3d printing.
There is a company Organovo who is making biotech printers with the aim of building organs with this technology.I think they can already make skin.

This technology should eventually move us away from  mass production manufacturing to manufacturing on demand.Super cool stuff.

I want the food machine from Star Trek.

Well, I don't mind that someone took Buffet's CNBC quote and has turned it into a viral message. I think it is a good idea and I am glad to see someone advocating for a specific change.
 I would like to think there are some people left in America with a can do attitude and not just a bunch of negative nelly's saying it will never happen or it's too hard.

I had one of these with no doors no top and a complete rust bucket and I miss it still.
