Ok it happened....Ive put a long thin ding down the side of my board. Looks like I took a wood tool to it for about six; eight inches.
Whats the best way to fix, have picked up a fiberglass patch kit from local boat shop (no surf shops this part of the world). Should I just use the resin to fill the thin line? or would it be better to use something like 5 min epoxy ?
FYI: Board was dry, was putting on top of my car when this happend. So I dont even have a good story to tell.....

I just picked up the JL 9'10" for my wife last week from Real kiteboarding.
Prices in fact did go up....Current price is 1549. on their site. I paid 1299.00, but the board did NOT come with a deck pad. Last time I looked at a JL pad from Real it was 169.00.
The real killer for me was the shipping from NC to Mass where I live 181.39. I see now they have a set shipping fee of 89.99 in the lower 48 states.
Might have to give them a call and see if they could give me a break on the shipping.

Hey just wanted to give everyone a heads up. I just received an Email from a person who said he got my name from this site. He stated he had great deals of money but that he was in africa and needed my help getting thing set up in the states. I didnt read much further then that, already have heard of this scam. Im sure your all aware of this but just wanted everyone to be on the look out. This is a place I come to relax an see whats happening in our world, Even if I do live in land locked Western Mass.

Stoneaxe, Cant wait to hear what you think. Will you be getting your hands on any of the upwind/flatwater boards?

Let me know how it was. With any luck Ill be at the slope after taking care of a honey do list. Lakes in western mass are freezing over, going to have to put my board to bed for awhile.

Hello EC,
I saw on the other post that you are in Mass. I don't know of any events but it would be great to try and get a bunch of east coasters together for a paddle. Maybe create an event....? I'm down around Plymouth. So far I haven't seen a single other SUP. Of course I'm staying away from the usual surf areas while I learn but I'm still hoping to see someone out there. I've stuck to Plymouth and Falmouth so far. Heading down to Nauset Saturday for the competition (just to watch) and hopefully a few waves.
I think this is a great idea, Im in western mass I would love to help anyway I can. ....Would also like to just try and get a group of us together also.

Well right now in western Mass. One...I have had many people stop and ask what that big "thing" on my car is, or hey dont you know their are no waves around here. But once they see me on on the water everyone wants to try it.
Cant tell you how much fun Ive been having and even my wife has tried it and fallen in love with it.

Hello . Have enjoyed this site and all Im learning from it. Need some help....When cutting the paddle should I measure from bottom of paddle to the top of the handle, or from bottm of paddle to top of shaft.
I know for some this may sound silly, but I live in Western Mass. and will be the first one to give this a try in the lakes around here. Not much info in this neck of the woods.
