Since our lakes are a sheet of ice I have been toying around with river surfing. Thought you might like to see:

I tried river surfing on sunday and loved it!!! I, at times, looked much like a small seal body boarding but loved ever second of getting beat by mother natures wave pool.

Ps: I surfed the green tongue in K country


Does anybody have any other experience with river surfing? what are you thoughts?

I ride a ULI GLX2 and have to switch sides after 3-4 strokes... is this normal? or just caused by my crappy stroke? still new to SUP so i was curious what people think

Just watched part of the first episode of a show called the 808. Living in this snow covered place and being out of touch with surfing I have no clue what the scene is like. What are people's thoughts on this? Is this a accurate representation?

just got my sexy GLX2 and im curious about what the two string loop in the midsection of the board are for? there held down by velcro.

Just curious what people do int the "off" season (for those of us that are frozen ) or do in there spare time?

I am heavily  involved in Muay thai and Brazilian ju jitsu and toy around with climbing and mountain biking

What are your other passions other then SUP?

Alright so im torn between the 10 steamroller, GLX2 and now uli throws the FAQ in the mix! does anyone have experience with the FAQ on flat water touring? i live in calgary alberta and will be doing rivers, lakes and trips to tofino. im new to SUP but want the to grow with the board, i can pick it up quickly. i would love to know if anyone has experience on the FAQ?

Looking at inflatable SUP, 10'' steam roller or the GLX2? just started last year and the board will be used on white water and trips over to Tofino. Im looking for something i can grow into? any insight or suggestions?
