Regional / Free Sup Racing Seminar in Naples

If you find yourself in the Naples, Florida area on Saturday January 7th, come on down to Vanderbilt Beach by Cabana Dans for a free sup racing clinic.  It is from 4pm until 5:30pm.  If you would like to participate just bring a board and paddle.  If you would just want to listen in and ask questions feel free to do so.  Keep in mind it will cover the basics of training, equipment, and strategy.  So if you have more detailed questions we can address those afterwards.  If time permits we have a short race course to go out and practice what we learn.

SUP General / How about safety?

Just returned from a trip to my local beach and I feel the need to post a question to the forum regarding what I have been observing more frequently.  That is the blatant disregard for safety in an open water environment.  My question is this:  While we all have a moral obligation to pass along safety tips in our dealings with our friends and families, do professional entities i.e. retail stores, fitness instructors, rental agencies, and tour guides have a greater responsibility?  What are your thoughts?
