I didn't want to piggyback on the strike CWC so here's some info on the score. Better up wind, windows are usable, handles are stiffer and a nice up grade. The outline was changed so it's less likely to catch wing tips. Great for freestyle as balz has proven. Tighter canopy so it's a snappier power grab. The leash has a safety enclosure. 3.5 was super tame in over 25 knots of wind. Was even able to flakka with it with no issues. Now the why didn't they correct this before release stuff, I already tore the Velcro from the leash extension, the strut dips in jibes so it's designed for tacking. Caught it a few times in waves with the 3.5 due to the tail dropping. So you have to hold it high for that style of riding. Bags still suck.
So overall they're a nice upgrade and if you're ready for a performance wing or new ensis, you'll be really happy with these. I would of really liked if they came with the Cabrinha handles but maybe next season.

I've been down in the DR for a week and staying for another. This place is great for winging. Reef is deep for foil. Easy launch with very small to no shore break. I'm at bozo beach which is part of Cabarete beach. It's up wind of the kite beach so you don't have a bunch of kites in the way. I highly recommend putting it on the list for winging. Been on a 5 swing V2 and mantis 4 meter paired with HPS 1050 and smaller.

Demetri of epic is getting into winging. I had him on a wing less than a year ago and he's already fully hooked.

I did a few videos showing how a wing will push from one side of the wind window pushing up wind, to pulling down wind in the middle of the window, to pulling up wind on the side of the wind window. Those coming from kiting will relate quickly to this. I'll have a part 3 soon with me doing it on a bigger wing and showing the pump onto foil.

I know there's a lot of styles out there but I was wondering what people are hoping the future of foils will be. More glide, easier lift, speed? Are the guys that were sup foiling, now just wing? For myself, my passion is sup foiling so the higher aspect, more glide and speed is what I like but there is way more to this sport than just that.

During the quarantine, many of us are stuck in side and can't make new vids or be out practicing so for those trying to learn some tricks and not coming from kite foiling, I'd recommend looking at kite foil videos. Much of the techniques transfer over but instead of keeping a kite high, keep the wing high, push out on the bar is letting loose of the back hand. In kite tricks the kite always goes first and same as the wing. If you do a tack but don't send the wing first, then the wing will pull you off your board. https://www.thekiteboarder.com/2020/04/the-secret-to-moving-your-feet-on-foil/?fbclid=IwAR2vZ7xlPI9ckLpzaNmFJCfKCSVfEarmax7NMFTOl2yaHUkJQ713P-WZQyoThis is a basic video on foot switches, same technique I use on a wing.

My buddy bought a 4 meter duotone and tried to use it once, he's a big guy so needs a bigger wing. Like new, located in South Florida. I'll be up in Cocoa in 2 weeks and can drop it on the way if needed.

https://goodbreezekiteboarding.com/foil-surf-racing-league/Going to be a pump fest for the prone guys but for the sup guys it'll be a mix of foiling the wave and then paddle the rest if you come off the wave. Should be a good time and Cocoa never disappoints on conditions.

I picked up a dakine maniac harness hook and put it on my waist belt. I have some wind coming in tonight so going to give it a try. I know it's not going to be much support but first stage of development. I figure minimalist design needed since we're not needing the harness other than long reaches up wind. Ideas now than welcomed, I think it'll take the big brands some time to catch up to what is needed. I couldn't post a pic but the hook slides onto the waist leash and I hope there Velcro will hold.
