Here are a few pics of a project done using very basic materials available from hobby shops and hardware stores.  The blank was hotwired from a block of EPS special ordered from Home Depot.  The balsa planks are standard hobby shop stuff.  Glassing materials are also standard stuff.  It was designed for a flat water beginner plus pretty big dog.  It came out measuring 12' X 32" X 5" and so far has served it's purpose well.

Hi -

I'm new to the sport and this site.  I've done a little surfboard building as a hobby and recently (one year ago) completed my first vacuum bagged "compsand" SUP for my girlfriend. 

We are also playing around with double bladed paddles - IMO a good answer to board tracking and exercise symmetry. 

Am hoping to gain some insight as to how you guys are doing what you do.  No real interest in wave riding - just flat water cruising.
